Today’s dose:
Lie down, close your eyes and imagine winning the lottery for 30 seconds.
That’s what a Happy Dose looks like. One action a day that takes one to three minutes, and a jar where you can see afterwards what has piled up.

A day with Happy Dose
There is no program and there are no lessons. There is one thing a day.
- You say how you’re feeling. Five faces, one tap. Not in the mood? Tap “Later”.
- The app picks a dose. If you’re low, something calm. If you’re doing well, something with other people. Doesn’t suit you? Swipe to the next one.
- You do it. A timer runs along, nothing more.
- You say whether it helped and, if you like, write a sentence about your small good moment.
For example
72 actions in six areas. None takes longer than three minutes. A few of them:
- Stand up and shake yourself out completely for 30 seconds, like a wet dog. 1 min · Body
- Find 3 green things around you. 2 min · Nature
- Listen to a favorite song from your teenage years. 3 min · Fun
- Invent a job that doesn’t exist yet and give it a name. 2 min · Mind
- Send someone a photo of the sky right now. 1 min · Nature
- Write 3 sentences about what went well today. 2 min · Mind
Every dose becomes a marble
The marble’s color is your mood after the dose. If you wrote down a good moment, it glows, and you can tap it later to read it again.
When the jar is full, it gets a lid and moves to the shelf. The first jar is full after just five doses, so you see early that it adds up.
After a few weeks you don’t have a field of numbers, you have a row of jars with your days in them.
Five out of seven days is enough
The happiness streak counts weeks, not single days. If you do something for yourself on five of seven days, the week counts. A missed day is no drama.
Come back after a break and you’ll read: “Good to see you again. Your 23 moments are still here.” Never “Streak lost”.
On Sundays there’s a short weekly review: how many minutes you took for yourself and what helped most.
Your entries stay with you
- No account and no login.
- Moods, notes and jars are stored locally on your device. Happy Dose does not send your entries to us. We do not run a server for them.
- On iPhone, your entries may be included in an iCloud or computer backup, depending on your settings. On Android, operating-system backups and automatic device transfer are disabled for Happy Dose.
- No ads and no analytics software.
- If you delete the app, the entries on that device are deleted. Existing iPhone backups may still contain them.
What it costs
The core is free: the daily dose, check-in, timer, jar, happiness streak and the review of the current week.
Happy Dose+ costs €7.99 a month or €34.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial on the yearly plan. It adds all alternatives, switching your Joy Path, earlier weekly reviews with a comparison to the previous week, up to three more reminders and the widget.
You can cancel any time in your app store’s settings. Prices are shown in euros here; the store shows your local price.
